The 18 Marines' Affidavit They Don't Want You to Read (PDF Download)
The joint sworn affidavit of the 18 former soldiers has now been read into the Senate record. Four months after the mainstream press buried it, the Cayetano bloc forced a Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on June 4 where the men testified under oath, in the Senate plenary hall, repeating the same allegations I published here in February.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) says someone bribed them. The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) says it is misleading to call them Marines. Senators aligned with Marcos say the hearing itself was illegitimate. The Ombudsman wants 18 separate affidavits. Zaldy Co is still a fugitive.
None of that changes what these men said then. None of it changes what they said again last Thursday.
Read the full affidavit. Read it carefully. Then ask yourself why the same institutions now scrambling to discredit these men had nothing to say when I posted this in February.
